Physical Therapy
The Physical Therapy department is an outpatient physical therapy clinic. The clinic provides comprehensive physical therapy treatment for the UC Davis student population. There is a variety of exercise equipment within the clinic for rehabilitation of patients with various types of sports injuries or post-surgical pain and limitation of motion.
Although the majority of patients treated at the Physical Therapy clinic are seen for treatment of orthopedic problems (pain or dysfunction of the muscles or joints), we also treat patients with neurological disorders. We have treated patients with spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and Guillain-Barre syndrome, as well as other neurological disorders.

Physical Therapy Internship
There is a physical therapy internship at the SHS Physical Therapy Clinic. Each quarter, there are positions open for students interested in volunteering 4 hours per week in order to gain experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting. Volunteer experience is often necessary to satisfy requirements for professional school applications, but students may volunteer simply to satisfy their curiosity. Unlike most internships in the health professions, which are coordinated through the internship office, the SHS Physical Therapy Internship is organized through the Physical Therapy clinic directly. Location & Hours of Operation
The Physical Therapy department is located the Cowell Student Health Center Annex just behind the main building (map). Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except during the summer session where hours are modified to meet student demands. PT is closed from 12-1pm during the lunch hour.
