Nutrition Services
Nutrition Services offered at the Student Health & Wellness Center include individual counseling or group classes. Among the classes offered are cooking classes in our Teaching Kitchen and our Weight Management Series.
Individual Nutrition Assessments
Student Health Services has an in-house Registered Dietitian that provides nutrition therapy for a variety of nutrition related health issues including weight managament, diabetes, heart disease, eating disorders and gastro-intestinal disturbances among other medical diagnosis.
Individual appointments for consultations include nutritional assessment, counseling and education to promote healthy lifestyle habits. Body Composition Analysis is offered to measure body fat percentage for students during individual nutrition therapy. If you are interested in seeing the dietitian, ask for a referral from your provider. Appointments can be made at the Student Health Services registration windows at the UC Davis Student Health & Wellness Center or by calling 530.752.2349. Cost for registered students is $15.
Let's Get Moving!
This motivational presentation will help get you started on your physical activity plan. We will be discussing body composition, fueling for activity, and finding out what activity is right for you. Eat Well, Live Healthy! Weight Management Series

Want to manage your weight but aren’t sure how to get started? Come to the Eat Well, Live Healthy! weight management series to learn how to eat well, live healthy and feel your best. This series covers quick and easy cooking tips, physical activity, meal planning and more! The best part? It’s free to all UC Davis students.You must register to attend. Teaching Kitchen at the Student Health & Wellness Center

All cooking classes are designed with the busy student in mind. The classes are meant to provide cooking skills and nutrition education as well as inspire even the busiest student body to cook!
Fresh From the Farm Cooking Class
Hungry for delicious food that is good for you? Using produce harvested from the Student Farm on UC Davis campus, our chef will create quick and easy meals.
