HIV Antibody Testing
SHCS Medical Services offers both anonymous and confidential HIV Antibody Testing. Information about these two services are provided below.

Anonymous HIV Testing Option
- Information Line - 530.754.7000 (recorded message)
- Cost: Free
- Rapid, oral testing now available - results in 30 minutes using an oral sample
- Held every Tuesday from 1-4 pm
- Walk-in beginning at 12:45 pm to make a same day appointment. First come, first served. No phone scheduling available.
- Go to Health Education & Promotion department on the third floor of the UC Davis Student Health & Wellness Center
- Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters only (Excluding finals week/breaks/summer session)
- Available to registered UC Davis students only
- Testing is anonymous
Also Available at the LGBTRC
HIV testing is also available to UC Davis students at the LGBT Resource Center on January 9, January 23, February 6, February 27, and March 12 from 6 - 8 pm. The LGBT Resource Center is on the first floor of the Student Community Center, located near the Silo. (Opening Winter Quarter 2012). Walk-in to the LGBTRC starting at 5:45 pm for same day appointment.
Confidential HIV Antibody Testing Option
- To make appointment, call 530.752.2349
- Cost: $25 total ($15 office visit + $10 for test)
- Blood test only (using a blood sample)
- Two week wait for results
- Results given in-person
- Testing is confidential
