Welcome to UC Davis! The School of Medicine provides health services and health insurance for medical students.
Health Insurance Requirement for Medical Students
If you are a medical student or dual-degree medical student (MD/MPH or MD/PhD), your student health insurance is provided through the School of Medicine. You cannot use the on-line waiver application provided by Cowell Student Health Center to waive your enrollment.
Waivers for medical students and dual-degree medical students are handled by the School of Medicine. This applies to dual-degree students even while enrolled in the non-MD portion of your program. For more information, contact the School of Medicine Registrar's Office at 916.734.1838.
