Health Insurance Requirement
Daytime MBA Program
The University of California requires that all students have health insurance. To help you meet the Health Insurance Requirement, UC Davis automatically enrolls all registered students in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). Fees for SHIP coverage are charged to your student account each term along with your registration fees. For information about coverage dates and costs for 2008-09, go to SHIP: Cost and Dates of Coverage.
- If you want to be enrolled in SHIP, you are automatically enrolled — no action is required.
- If you have comparable insurance and do not want to be enrolled in SHIP, you must apply for a SHIP waiver by September 18, 2008. The services at Student Health Services are available to all students, even if you waive SHIP.
The online SHIP waiver application for the 2008-09 academic year is now available.
Working Professional MBA Program
Working Professional MBA students are not eligible for enrollment in SHIP.
