How to Find a Provider

Providers at Student Health and Counseling Services

All registered UC Davis students have access to the services provided by Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS). When scheduling an appointment, you can elect to choose the first available appointment, or select a specific provider you would like to see. You can learn more about the providers available at SHCS by viewing their profiles.

To schedule an appointment, log-in to Health-e-Messaging or contact the Appointment Desk at 530-752-2349 for services at the Student Health & Wellness Center, or 530-752-0871 for services with Counseling Services at North Hall.

Find Providers with Anthem Blue Cross

To find a contracted provider with Anthem Blue Cross for medical services, go to www.anthem.com/ca, and use the Find a Doctor search tool.

Choose Individual & Family in the header menu
Select "Find a Doctor" in the center column labelled "Care"
Scroll down to the section labelled Search as Guest, and choose Search by Selecting a Plan or Network
Under What type of care are you searching for?, select Medical
Under What state do you want to search in?, select California
Under Select a plan/network, click on the drop down menu, type "UCSHIP", and click Continue
On the following page, please select the details of provider specialty and location for which you would like to search.

Find Providers with Delta Dental

To find a contracted provider with Delta Dental, you can elect to download and register on the Delta Dental app (Apple) (Android), or go to the Delta Dental website, and select Find a Dentist.

Enter your location information
Select Delta Dental PPO for the network
You can also enter a specific name of a dentist to see if they are in the network
Click "Search"

You can also choose to contact Delta Dental Customer Service at (800) 765-6003 to speak to a representative to help you find a dentist.

Find Vision Providers with Anthem Blue View Vision

To find a contracted provider with Anthem Blue Cross for vision services, go to www.anthem.com/ca, and use the Find a Doctor search tool.

Choose Individual & Family in the header menu
Select "Find a Doctor" in the center column labelled "Care"
Scroll down to the section labelled Search as Guest, and choose Search by Selecting a Plan or Network
Under What type of care are you searching for?, select Vision
Under What state do you want to search in?, select California
Under Select a plan/network, click on the drop down menu, select "Blue View Vision Insight", and click Continue
On the following page, please select the details of provider specialty and location for which you would like to search.
