Peer health educators are available to facilitate small and large group workshops for residence halls, fraternities, sororities and other student organizations. We have workshops in the following program areas:
To request a program from Health Education and Promotion, please call 530.752.9652. We require a minimum of two weeks notice to schedule most programs. In addition, Student Health Services has professional and clinical staff available to speak on a variety of topics.
Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drug Issues
Buzzed: Alcohol Jeopardy
Play a fun game to learn about alcohol and its effects on the body. See what your future holds at “the party!” This program requires a minimum of 10 participants.
When the Price is Wrong
Thinking about throwing a party in your new place? There is nothing wrong with that. Just know that more responsibility comes with throwing a party than you might think. Learn about the potential costs and liabilities, along with how to hold the best safe party ever. Bonus: wonderful prizes are available if you figure out when the price is wrong!

Sex Jeopardy
Think you know all there is to know about sex? Put your knowledge to the test with Sex Jeopardy! This entertaining game show explores the sexual health concerns of today’s college students. This program requires a minimum of 10 participants.
Wellness
Wellness Jeopardy
Want to learn how to maximize your wellness? This interactive program explores
the realms of wellness (social, occupational, physical, intellectual,
emotional, spiritual and environmental) in a fun and exciting game show
format. Put your knowledge to the test and get your wellness on!
Professional Staff Resources
Health Education, Dietitian, Nurse and Physician Speakers
Professional and clinical staff from Student Health Services are available to speak to groups on topics not covered by the peer educator interns. To request a speaker, call 530.752.9652. Please request the program at least 4 weeks in advance.
